Docsheaf
Public docs

Product docs your readers can trust

Write in a block editor, review every change before it goes live, and publish a fast, branded docs site that people and AI tools can read.

A docs site that looks like your product

One site holds all your spaces and publishes them as tabs, on a Docsheaf subdomain or your own domain.

Accurate before it’s public

Docs go wrong when changes skip review. Docsheaf makes review the easy path.

Change requests

Branch a space, edit, request reviewers and merge only what has been approved.

Locked spaces

Turn off live editing so every change to the published content goes through review.

Revisions

Every merge is an immutable snapshot you can browse and compare.

Built for readers and for AI

People search, skim and give feedback, and AI tools read Markdown. Docsheaf serves both.

Frequently asked questions

Can I host docs on my own domain?

Yes. Every site gets a Docsheaf subdomain, and you can point a custom domain at it. Docsheaf routes requests by hostname, so readers never see the Docsheaf address.

How do I keep published docs from changing without review?

Set the space to locked. Live editing is then turned off, and every change has to go through a change request that someone reviews and merges.

Is the published site good for SEO?

Pages are server-rendered, and Docsheaf generates sitemap.xml and robots.txt for each site. You can also publish a site as unlisted, so only people with the share link can see it.

Can AI tools read my docs?

Yes. Every page has a Markdown version at the same URL with .md added, and every site serves llms.txt and llms-full.txt.

Will I know whether my docs are helping?

Insights show page views, reader feedback, what people search for, and which searches found nothing.
